On the afternoon of June 3rd, 2025, I visited the famous Haedong Yonggungsa Temple in Busan. While crowds of visitors were busy taking photos with the magnificent Dharma statue and the compassionate Guanyin statue, what truly touched my heart were three small monk statues tucked away in a quiet corner.
The gentle afternoon sunlight fell softly on this peaceful spot, where three little monks each showed different poses: one thoughtfully contemplating, another playfully covering his eyes, and the third wearing a mischievous expression. Their faces were so lifelike, as if they might blink and share a joke with you at any moment.
While everyone else was chasing after grand architecture, I found the most innocent beauty in this forgotten corner. Sometimes, the most precious discoveries are hidden in the most overlooked places, waiting for someone with an open heart to find them.
